The breakfast fare was poor. I would prefer a variety of fresh fruit, Higher quality yogurt (greek style). Less pastries and suger filled food.
the pillows were wonderful The staff were very friendly .Loved the beautiful sunset from our room , loved the orange juice at breakfast.
Fan in room was a bit noisy
Location was close to where we needed to be in the morning
Rate are a little high
Only a short drive to the Amtrak Albany-Rensselaer Station. The bed was comfortable.
My room faced Route 4 and the traffic was very noisy most of the night. The bathroom counter was not fully cleaned. The sink faucet plumbing leaked all over the countertop. There was no chair (other than the desk chair) for reading.
I was thankful that you allowed a one night stay, we had to visit a hospital near by. I appreciated the front desk personality and the charm of the place. It felt like home after a long drive. I would stay there again.
Breakfast and bathroom facilities
Poor WiFi signal
Size of rooms was good. Counter people on Thurs. were very helpful with directions. Counter size in bathroom was helpful.
Counter person had a heavy accent on arrival, very hard to understand and she didn't know the area at all. Highway traffic noise bothered us. Breakfast very high in salt and sugar. Hard to find a parking space at end of day. No outdoor tables to sit and relax. Loud ticking noise in ceiling in bathroom kept us awake on the second night, received 2 bottles of water to compensate. AC was rattly and too loud. Not the best experience, but serviceable.
Breakfast organization and food very good
Staff was friendly and accomodating. Easy access to 90 east; the view was unexpected/incredible. Facilities was clean (mostly), I had 2 rooms, the bathtub in one room was dirty.
Pool was small
Breakfast was also good.
The view from the hotel entrance was lovely. The staff were professional, helpful & friendly. Lovely breakfast room.
My room didn't have a view of the Albany skyline. The bathroom could use upgrading (e.g., the toilet bowl looked dirty, due to age). The carpet in the room was a little beat-up, etc. Also, the elevator could have been speedier. It was a bit noisy on my floor in the a.m., but it was guests, not the cleaners. And I don't think you should recommend the sports grill next door - where I had the worst meal ever! Couldn't eat it, & when I remarked to the waitress that it may have been due to the late hour (10 p.m.), she told me that was no excuse, the kitchen was open till midnight!
Location is what mattered to me. Plus the view of Albany is the best!
I got there at 2:45 and was told I had to wait 15 minutes for a room to become ready. I had a 4pm appointment and I explained that to no avail. Then I asked for a the military discount and the clerk didn't want to give it to me. The manager. John, was called and he took care of both problems.
